TASTING NOTE: Solid cabernet out of Margaret River. It scratches the cabernet itch. Indeed it's slightly better than that. The fruit has power, it feels good in the mouth, there's an overall sense of balance. Blackcurrant, bay leaves, cocoa powder, and both briar and resin characters. It drives through the palate and finishes well enough. There's a slight mid-palate dip but as they say in the varietal classics, you get that. And anyway, I'd imagine it will develop tidily mid-term. Drink: 2017-2024. Score - 90 (Campbell Mattinson, winefront.com.au, Nov. 27, 2016) Price $ 22.95
