Extremely deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, baked ripe plum-cherry nose with some cedary, mineral-tinged notes. Dry, well structured, slightly spicy, ripe plum flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, cedary finish. This very well-priced 100% Malbec has 14.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with a new lot number L16292L2 L172734 on the back label. TONY ASPLER / 89-points / BEST BUY - Dense purple colour; cedary, plum nose with vanilla oak; full-bodied, dry, fruity, firmly structure, well-balanced and ready to drink. Great value. TASTING NOTE: Graceful nose with exceptional concentration of blackberries complemented by graphite, pencil lead and balsamic savoury notes. A lot of complexity and tension on the palate with bright dark fruits and beautifully integrated oak underpinned by an amazing refined structure. The wine finishes superbly with a mouthwatering fruity finish. Score - 95 (Decanter World Wine Awards, 2016) |
