Bright medium straw colour. Fairly attractive, slightly spicy, ripe melon-apple nose with some faint herbal notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, slightly spicy, faintly honeyed, ripe melon-apple flavours with a crisp unoaked finish. Quite OK and ready-to-drink. Has 12.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. Better than the 2014 (*+/**) released on July 9, 2016 at $14.95. TONY ASPLER / 89-points / BEST BUY - Spicy, lanolin and lemon balm nose with a grassy note; medium-bodied, elderberry and gooseberry flavours; fresh and lively on the palate. |
