Very deep intense purple colour. Fairly intense, warm ripe plum nose with some cedary warm cherry notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, fairly extracty, harmonious, spicy, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, fairly high acid finish. Has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 0924151036 0700137 on the lower part of the glass bottle. The 2012 (***) with 91-points was released on September 19, 2015 at $59.95. TASTING NOTE: The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve (Alexander Valley) offers striking aromatic presence to play off its intense dark red and purplish fruit. Smoke, tobacco, lavender, licorice and crème de cassis add mid-palate sweetness and unctuosity. This is a gorgeous wine from Rodney Strong, not to mention a terrific value.
