Purple Cowboy has raised a truly amazing $22 million and counting for breast cancer research and awareness. Proceeds from the sale of this wine in Vintages will contribute to the winery's commitment to donate $10,000 to Wellspring's (wellspring.ca) Nourish program, which offers nutrition-based sessions that teach cancer patients and their family members about healthy nutritional practices pertaining to cancer and wellness. TASTING NOTE: With a husband and son who are both professional rodeo cowboys, and herself a breast cancer survivor and awareness activist, Terry Wheatley, creator of Purple Cowboy wines, knows a thing or two about true grit. This wine is big and bold, with ripe blueberry, blackberry and blackcurrant, sweet vanilla and a touch of chocolate. (Vintages panel, May 2017) |
