Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
SMALL GULLY |
Very deep intense purple colour. Spicy, juicy, black cherry puree nose with some cedary notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, very juicy, ripe cherry jubilee flavours with a lingering, cedary finish. A ready-to-drink crowd-pleaser. This blend of 50% Grenache, 43% Shiraz and 7% Mataro has 15.5% alcohol and 9 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. |

TASTING NOTE: With a name like something right out of Reservoir Dogs, this blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro delivers big strawberry, mint and vanilla character and tons of concentration. Good richness, expansiveness and length. A great first-time wine from a sought-after winery. Debut it at your next gathering alongside slow-cooked beef tips in a red wine and mushroom gravy.
