Very deep intense purple colour. Gently spicy, ripe plum-cherry nose with some cassis-cedar-sandalwood notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, harmonious, juicy, ripe plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, gently cedary finish. This blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Merlot has 13.5% alcohol and 8 g/L residual sugar. The 2014 (**/**+) was released on February 4, 2017 at $29.95. TASTING NOTE: \"Claret\" is another term for red Bordeaux and the wines they inspire. This one is a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Merlot showing notes of cherry, blackberry, plum and cassis with a touch of flinty smoke.
