TASTING NOTE: Very good depth of flavour in Coppola's engaging Sofia chardonnay. Compelling if the first sip isn't a turn off. There is a honeyed and light oxidative character to the palate with acids beginning to sour in a most tantalizing fashion. Great presence and power without any excessive oak or alcohol. A lovely viscous texture adds to the appeal. There is an Alsace meets Burgundy character to this chardonnay that is most intriguing. Flavourful and dynamic but for adventuresome enthusiasts. Elegant packaging. Drink soon. Tasted August 2016. Score - 89 (Sara d'Amato, winealign.com, Sept. 3, 2016) Price $ 27.95
