| This 100% Tempranillo very deep intense purple colour. Fairly intense, faintly earthy, warm ripe plum black cherry nose with some gentle cedar notes. Dry, medium bodied, smooth, fairly intense, somewhat tangy, fairly juicy, ripe, plummy, black cherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary finish. This unique barrel-fermented Rioja (in new 225-litre American oak) has 14% alcohol. Description: Elaboración Especial (special production) refers to the barrel fermentation this wine undergoes over several months in new American oak. Tasting Note: This ripe 100% Tempranillo has a deep garnet in colour; forward aromas of red berry and cherry, with notes of vanilla oak and underbrush; on the palate the wine is dry, with medium body, bright acidity and fine-textured tannins; flavours of cherry, along with the spicy and vanilla notes of oak; the finish is warm and soft. Serving Suggestion: Serve with tapas, barbecued pork, chorizo sausage.
