Deep intense purple colour. Intense, gently smoky, mocha-chocolate nose with some baked ripe plum-cherry notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, very spicy, juicy, ripe plum-cherry flavours with some smoky, mocha-chocolate notes on the lingering, fairly high acid finish. A ready-to-drink crowd-pleaser. Has 14% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number L17136 on the back label. Screwcap closure. TONY ASPLER / 87.5-points / TRY - Smoky-tarry blackberry nose; full-bodied, smoky, blackberry and milk chocolate flavours that finish firmly. The recommended 2013 (**) was released on April 1, 2015 at $13.95. |
