Extremely deep intense purple colour. Somewhat herbal, baked plum-cherry nose with some earthy cedary notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, dense, mouthfilling, baked plum flavours with a lingering, cedary, fairly high acid, somewhat herbal finish. Has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. The first bottle assessed had cork taint. TONY ASPLER / 91-points / TRY - Cedary, savoury, leather nose; medium to full-bodied, dry, ripe fig and currant flavours with vanilla oak; elegant, finishing firmly. |
