TASTING NOTE: In 2015 the White Palette goes highly, oddly and intentionally exotic. The dominant riesling component is eerily late-harvest, off-dry concentrated and yet either musqué or gewürztraminer (or both) dominate the nose and the palate. I do appreciate and welcome the levied and elevated acidity to match the first strikes and the linger here is longer than ever. A bold statement from J.P. Colas and a risk that leads to great reward. This actually carries some newfangled excitement. The waxy lemon finish is one that refuses to die. Drink: 2016-2019. Score - 89 (Michael Godel, winealign.com, Sept. 8, 2016) Price $ 15.95
