TASTING NOTE: I'm a huge fan of Vin Santo and the 2008 Pomino Vinsanto (500-milliliter) is a delicious expression. The bouquet offers loads of unexpected complexity with caramel, toasted almond, apricot, honey and maple syrup. This wine reveals creamy viscosity with subtle background notes of wild mushroom, bee's wax, dried herb and candied fruit. Drink Date: 2016-2030. Score - 93 (Monica Larner, robertparker.com, Oct. 28, 2016) |
