CHÂTEAU RIEUSSEC 2010 1er cru, AC Sauternes
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer
Not presented at the press and/or consultants preview in the LCBO lab. Here is my previous tasting note: Bright very light yellow colour. Intense, complex, attractive, sweet, ripe pineapple puree nose with some caramel notes. Very sweet, medium to medium-full bodied, viscous, honeyed, caramel, pineapple, melon puree flavours with a lingering, fairly crisp, butterscotch finish. Seems quite forward! Has 14% alcohol and 150 g/L residual sugar. A REPEAT the 2010 (***) which was released on July 19, 2014 at $61.85. CSPC 263012

TASTING NOTE: A muscular version, with dacquoise and marzipan notes leading the way for creamed orange, white peach, ginger, mirabelle compote and tangerine accents that pump through the pie crust-filled finish. Has the vintage's raw oomph, as well as range and cut for balance. Best from 2018 through 2035. Score - 94 (James Molesworth, winespectator.com, 2015) Price $ 87.95
Bottle Size 375 mL
Tasting Date vintages release - September 30, 2017
