TASTING NOTE: This is very impressive! It has size, depth, compactness and concentration. Sometimes Burrowing Owl reds can be loose, hottish and oaky - this one is firm and very much a cabernet with less greenness and less obvious wood. There is just-ripe blackcurrant, herbal/sage notes, chocolate, coffee and spice on the nose. It's full bodied, still youthfully gritty and tannic, but the ripeness of the fruit fills in well. Well centred. Best 2019 to 2025. A keeper. Score - 92 (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Jan. 28, 2017) Price $ 45.95
