TASTING NOTE: Bright purple. Pungent dark berries, cola, violet and a hint of black pepper on the nose. Lively blackberry and bitter cherry flavors gain sweetness with air and pick up a smoky element on the back half. Closes on a youthfully tannic note, with very good clarity and length. Score - 90 (Josh Raynolds, vinous.com, July 2014) |
