Extremely deep intense purple colour. Very minty nose. Eucalyptus-driven, baked plum nose. Dry, medium-full bodied, extremely intense, grassy, baked plum and eucalyptus-driven flavours with lots of garrigue-cedar notes on the high acid finish. Has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L7145 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Not my style. TONY ASPLER / 88-points - Vanilla oak and blackcurrants on the nose; full-bodied, dry, richly extracted and full on the palate; racy blackcurrant flavour with lively acidity and ripe tannins. Hold 2-3 years. |

TASTING NOTE: Coonawarra's most distinctive, well-known attribute is its red soil: the famous terra rossa. The Cabernet produced in this soil is considered to be among the world's classic expressions. This example is youthful, with complex notes of wild blackberry, cassis, plum, cocoa, spice and a distinct, characterful mint note. Super concentrated, pure and impressive.
