Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer QUAI DU VIN
Bright extremely light straw colour. Very slightly spicy, faintly turpy, slightly tropical, baked red apple nose with some mineral notes. Fairly dry, medium-light to light bodied, very spicy, tangy, fresh red apple flavours with a crisp unoaked finish. Ehrenfelser is a hearty German Riesling-based cross. It has 10.4% alcohol and 19 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. CSPC 520536

TASTING NOTE: This is a new vineyard, and for this vintage only 55 cases were produced. Once fully mature, this site should produce upwards of 200 cases. Ehrenfelser is a German Riesling-based cross. The 2016 is very pretty and aromatic, delivering suggestions of white flowers, ripe tropical fruit, apple, pineapple, peach and mango. Crisp, vibrant and off-dry with a fresh lemon-citrus zest and honeyed note taking the lead on the close. (Vintages panel, May 2017) Price $ 18.80
