CANNUBI BAROLO 2012 DOCG
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer BREZZA
Ambering medium deep red colour. Slightly spicy, ripe plum-sandalwood nose. Dry, medium bodied, quite harmonious albeit somewhat lightish, slightly spicy, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, sandalwood-tinged, dried red apple, tannin-tinged finish. Quite ready-to-drink - in fact, seems to be drying out. Has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L6CB-15 on the back label. The 2010 (***) with 90-points was released on May 2, 2015 at $64.95. Underwhelming for the price. CSPC 713511

TASTING NOTE: Structured and delicious, this opens with aromas suggesting underbrush, leather rose petal and a balsamic note. The juicy palate doles out raspberry compote, ripe red cherry, cinnamon and a sprinkling of white pepper. Firm velvety tannins provide the framework while a licorice note closes the lingering finish. Drink 2019-2025. Score - 94 (Kerin O'Keefe, Wine Enthusiast, Sept. 1, 2016) Price $ 67.95
