WILD THING DAMIANO VINEYARD PLACER COUNTY VIOGNIER 2015 Sierra Foothills |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
CAROL SHELTON |
Forward bright medium deep yellow colour. Honeyed, gently cedary, baked lemon meringue nose with some toasty, coconut- lychee notes. Fairly dry, medium-full bodied, dense, mature, coconut cream pie flavours with lots of honeysuckle, lemon meringue notes on the lingering, still fairly high acid finish. Has 13.7% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. Tasted twice, Intense, apple-melon mixed on this one - sort of a love it or hate it style! |

TASTING NOTE: There's a fragrant, honeysuckle-influenced richness to the peach and melon flavors. Crisp on the finish, with lemon zest notes lingering, showing a touch of brewed tea. Drink now. Score - 89 (MaryAnn Worobiec, winespectator.com, 2017) |
