Very bright light yellow colour. Faintly sweet, very spicy, tropical fruit cocktail nose with some cedary notes. Off dry, medium bodied, very spicy, honeyed, tropical fruit cocktail flavours with a fairly crisp, cedary finish. An entry-level, ready-to-drink, crowd-pleaser. Has 13.5% alcohol and 7 g/L residual sugar with lot number 20160209 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. The 2014 (*/*+) was released on July 23, 2016 at $17.95. CSPC 458638

TASTING NOTE: This Chardonnay was grown in a handful of Ryder Estate's cool-climate, ocean-influenced vineyards, and a quarter of the wine was aged in oak. The result is a balanced, gently toasty wine offering ripe melon and pear fruit. Good value in Cali Chard. Pour it with grilled chicken breast or grilled veal chops with mushrooms.
