Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
PASCAL BOUCHARD |
Very bright medium straw colour. Slightly spicy, apple-lemon nose with some nutty mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied, albeit quite well structured, tangy, very crisp, ripe lemon-melon-apple flavours with a lingering, still youthful, mineral-tinged, very faintly resiny finish. Needs time. Has 12.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. The recommended 2012 (**+) with 89-points was released on June 27, 2015 at $38.95. |

TASTING NOTE: The wine is ripe and firm with great concentration. It comes from old vines in this southeast-facing vineyard. Rich and full of white stone fruits that are cut with citrus, it is a wine to age. The aftertaste has spice and strong minerality. Drink this wine from 2019. Editors' Choice. Score - 92 (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, Dec. 31, 2016) |
