TASTING NOTE: The label features a trout-fishing fly: the \"Red Headed Wooly Bugger,\" to be exact. This is more than a striking image; Kahurangi is the largest of Nelson's three national parks and is famous for providing some of the world's finest trout fishing. The 2015 Trout Valley Sauvignon Blanc is fresh and long with generous citrus, apple and herbal tones with pretty spice and mineral. Crafted in the region's notably restrained style - relative to the overt pungency of Marlborough, that is - it will be a fine choice for fish. Not to be too on the nose here, but why not try it with trout, grilled or baked. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2016) Price $ 19.95
