Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, ripe, gently earthy, somewhat smoky, very ripe black cherry-plum nose. Dry, medium bodied, well structured, slightly spicy, intense, ripe black cherry puree flavours with a lingering, gently smoky, cedary, high acid finish. Showing nicely and ready-to-drink. Has 14.9% alcohol (on front label and winery website) and 5 g/L residual sugar. Note that there is a new white label on the back of the bottle informing us that this wine actually has 16.0% alcohol.
