TASTING NOTE: This wine was sourced from five communes in the Côte de Nuits sub-region of Burgundy: Fixin, Brochon, Prémeaux, Comblanchien and Corgoloin. With a decade under its belt, the wine is showing gracefully maturing complexity of wild cherry, cranberry, plum, licorice and herbs. The finish is silky and smoky. Drink now through 2022 with charcuterie and cheeses, or barbecued beef tenderloin and wild mushrooms. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2016) |
