Deep purple red colour. Intense, spicy, complex, ripe apple-plum nose with some sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, harmonious, maturing, apple-plum-cherry flavours with a still crisp, faintly cedary, sandalwood-tinged finish. Bottled on December 9, 2008 and still alive and kicking. Has 13% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L1R07003 on the back label (4,317 bottles produced). TONY ASPLER / 89-points / TRY - Deep ruby colour with a mature rim; cedary, leather, soy and red plum on the nose; medium-bodied, dry, ripe and ready with lively acidity. TASTING NOTE: This wine was sourced from five communes in the Côte de Nuits sub-region of Burgundy: Fixin, Brochon, Prémeaux, Comblanchien and Corgoloin. With a decade under its belt, the wine is showing gracefully maturing complexity of wild cherry, cranberry, plum, licorice and herbs. The finish is silky and smoky. Drink now through 2022 with charcuterie and cheeses, or barbecued beef tenderloin and wild mushrooms. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2016) Price $ 29.95
