This wine is grown on slopes, planted with vines in 1957, at the foot of a limestone cliff on which stand the ruins of a Roman camp known as \"Châteaubeau.\" TASTING NOTE: This youthful wine shows great promise already, with complex notions of wood spice, dark cherry, beetroot and smoke. It's firm, tart and bright on the tongue with attractive earthy and beet-y notes. Drink until 2025 with coq au vin or wild mushroom stew. (Vintages panel, July 2017) Price $ 29.95
