| Extremely deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, attractive, gently complex, ripe black cherry nose with some sandalwood-cedar notes. Dry, medium-full to full bodied, dense, well structured, complex, rich, slightly baked, ripe cherry-plum puree flavours with some cassis notes on the lingering, gently cedary, lifted finish. Has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L15044 on the lower part of the glass bottle and a screwcap closure. The recommended best buy 2013 (***/***+) with 95-points was released on June 11, 2016 at $52.95. TONY ASPLER / 93-points / BUY - Dense purple in colour; spicy, floral, blackberry nose with cedary, medicinal, oak notes; medium to full-bodied, dry, elegant, beautifully balanced and firm with a lovely mouth-feel. | TASTING NOTE: 100% Adelaide Hills, 4 clones separately picked and wild-fermented, 20% whole bunch carbonic maceration, matured for 22 months in new and used French oak. Deep, vivid crimson-purple; the bouquet is attractive, but it is the length and balance of the intense, medium-bodied palate that sends the taste buds into overdrive with spice, pepper and sage underlying the majestic array of black cherry, blood plum and blackberry fruits; the tannins and oak balance is immaculate.
