TASTING NOTE: A North American first, this innovative unoaked Chardonnay was produced using partial appassimento - a process that sees the grapes dried before fermentation begins, which concentrates the flavours and body. This is pretty and floral with a slightly sweet tang to the tropical, melon, peach and apple tones. Round and fresh with superb vibrancy, this is a generously and gorgeously textured wine. Long with a lemon custard finish. (Vintages panel, March 2017) |
