CARIBOU CROSSING |
Bright light golden amber colour. Intense, spicy, honeyed, warm buttered toast, Bourbony nose. Intense, medium bodied, bright, smooth, honeyed-caramel, Bourbon-inspired flavours with a lingering, fairly rich. toasted marshmallow finish. Bottled in the USA by the Sazerac Company, Inc., this is a blend of Whisky produced in Canada years ago acquired by Sazerac’s Drew Mayville, with hints of purchased these whisky barrels from a now-defunct Canadian whisky distiller. |

TASTING NOTE: Dark honey in the glass, this whisky boasts maple and cedar aromas in the bouquet. Expect lots of spice on the palate, including clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne and black pepper, all smoothed over by a ribbon of maple and honey. It finishes big, round, buttery and mouthwatering. Selected to the 2015 Wine Enthusiast Top 100 Spirits. Score - 91 (Kara Newman, Wine Enthusiast, Nov. 1, 2015) |
