Producer |
MAS DES BRESSADES |
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, complex, very slightly smoky, plum-mocha-chocolate nose. Dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, ripe, somewhat cedary finish. Try with stews and game. This blend of 55% Grenache and 45% Syrah has 14% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar. Better than the 2014 (**) released on April 2, 2016 at $16.95. TONY ASPLER / 88-points / TRY - Smoky, savoury plum nose with a cedar note; full-bodied, dry, savoury-herbal black fruit flavours and a firm tannic finish. |

TASTING NOTE: Made from 55% Grenache and the rest Syrah, the 2015 Costières de Nîmes Cuvee Tradition is a beautifully fruited, forward and textured Southern Rhone that has tons of Provençal charm in its sweet red fruits, garrigue, peppery herbs and dried flower aromas and flavors. It's a steal ... will be hard to beat as a mid-week drinker. Score - 88 (Jeb Dunnuck, robertparker.com, Dec. 30, 2016) |
