Fairly deep purple red colour. Slightly spicy, classy, ripe plum-cherry nose with some faint sandalwood-cedar notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, very slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry-strawberry flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, cranberry-tinged, faintly smoky finish. Has 13.1% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number AAD1094280317783 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TONY ASPLER / 92-points / TRY - Cedary, raspberry with a note of violets on the nose; medium-bodied, dry, elegant, beautifully balanced and a long, lingering finish. |

TASTING NOTE: Dark-red fruit, subtle but scented. A light herbal note but fully ripe. In this vintage, this has good depth for a village Mercurey, and already silky but layered. Fine texture, dry, fresh aftertaste. Impressive. Drink 2017-2022. Score - 16 (out of 20) (Julia Harding, MW, jancisrobinson.com, Jan. 9, 2016) |
