Deep intense purple colour. Intense, faintly herbal, ripe plum-crancherry nose with cedary, mocha-chocolate notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, fairly herbal, ripe plum, ruby grapefruit and mocha-chocolate flavours with a lingering, grippy, fairly high acid finish. Has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with a NEW LOT number L17C45 on the back label. Anose even better REPEAT of the recommended 2015 (**) released on November 26, 2016 at $14.95 with lot number L16217 on the back label. TONY ASPLER / 88-points / BEST BUY - Cedary black currant and vanilla oak on the nose; medium to full-bodied, dry, richly extracted, sweet black currant flavour with a note of tar. Finishes with soft tannins. |
