Producer |
ROBLIN |
Bright medium deep straw colour. Distinctively spicy, somewhat dusty, somewhat grassy, mineral-tinged nose. Extremely dry, medium to medium-light bodied, somewhat peppery, faintly bitter, edgy, apple-lemon flavours with a very crisp, verging on tart, unoaked, lingering finish. This Sauvignon Blanc has 12.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. TONY ASPLER / 88.5-points - Reductive, grassy, grapefruit zest nose with a mineral note; medium-bodied, crisply dry, green gooseberry and citrus acidity. |

TASTING NOTE: Named after the shells from sea creatures that are found in much of the chalk soil of Sancerre, this crisp, mineral wine is tangy, zesty and textured. Fresh apples and gooseberry are cut by the intense acidity and tight structure. Drink from 2017. Score - 92 (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, May 1, 2016) |
