TASTING NOTE: Most wine lovers are familiar with Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris (aka Pinot Grigio), but few are on a first- name basis with those grapes' lesser-known sibling, Pinot Blanc. Alsace makes different styles of PB from robust and round to crisp and clean, and this wine edges toward the latter. Subtle notions of citrus and flowers add shading to a bright, vibrant wine that's more about texture than anything else. If your favourite beers are lagers, give this wine a whirl. Chill and sip on a hot day, or pair with grilled pork or summer salads. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2016) Price $ 17.95
