TASTING NOTE: Produced in every single year, the 2008 Instantanée Extra Brut reflects the \"snapshot of the year,\" as winemaker François Huré puts it. Based on Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier (equal parts), the 2008 aged for six years on the lees and was disgorged in October 2015 with a dosage of 3.5 grams per liter. The golden-coloredcuvée shows a deep, ripe and chalky-mineral flavor on the pretty complex nose. Light and very delicate, but intense on the palate, this is a highly elegant and persistent Brut with a firm, salty finish. Very promising and really elegant. Drink Date: 2016-2026. Score - 91 (Stephan Reinhardt, robertparker.com, June 29, 2016) |
