Very deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, cedar-tinged, intense, ripe plum-baked cherry nose with some cedar-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, plummy, cherry flavours with a lingering, cedary, fairly high acid finish. Has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 280317 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TONY ASPLER / 87.5-points - Cedary, black fruit nose; full-bodied, dry, black fruit flavours, firmly structured with lively acidity. |

This is sourced from three premium high altitude vineyards: One in Maipú (800m) and two in Luján de Cuyo (930 and 1050m). TASTING NOTE: Aromas of blackberry and briar patch expand to include violet notes. In the mouth, there's pulpy weight to the fruit and rubbery tannins for framing. Rugged but generic black-fruit flavors finish with toasty darkness and some burn. Score - 88 (Michael Schachner, Wine Enthusiast, Oct. 1, 2016) |
