Medium deep purple red colour. Slightly spicy, bright, ripe apple-plum nose with some faintly resinous notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, spicy, fairly ripe plum-cherry-apple flavours with a crisp, sandalwood-tinged finish. Quite ready-to-drink. Has 13.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with a new lot number L170117 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TONY ASPLER / 87.5-points - Deep ruby colour; cedary, smoky, cherry nose; medium-bodied, dry, sour cherry flavour with chewy tannins. It seems to have been bottles on January 17, 2017 well after James Suckling’s 90-point from August 21, 2016 as quoted in the Vintages Catalogue |
