JUMILLA CRIANZA 2011 Unfiltered, DO Jumilla |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
MONTEREBRO |
Deep intense purple colour. Spicy, baked ripe plum-cherry nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, juicy, ripe plum-cherry puree flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, mocha-chocolate-tinged, high acid finish. This ready-to-drink crowd-pleaser is quite ready to drink. Has 14% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L-1007. You can safely ignore the ancient 91-point tasting note appearing in the Vintages Catalogue. |

TASTING NOTE: Crisp plum and floral aromas rest on rocky base and offer up balsamic notes. This Monastrell-driven blend is full in body, with spicy, herbal, wild-brush flavors accenting core dark plum and berry. A lasting finish is herbal, deep and potent. Drink through 2017. Best Buy. Score - 90 (Michael Schachner, Wine Enthusiast, Dec. 1, 2014) |
