TASTING NOTE: Some of the fruit for this impressive and familiar Zin is sourced from sites throughout the Alexander and Dry Creek Valleys, regions famed for their Zinfandel - but that's only part of the story here. The Knotty Vines Zinfandel also contains fruit from a 15 acre old vine site planted in 1904. That should raise an eyebrow or two along with your glass. Structured and round, the 2014 Knotty Vines offers juicy and rich red and black fruit with touches of chocolate and spice. Balanced and delicious, enjoy this with barbecued ribs or with grilled chicken. (Vintages panel, Nov. 2016) Price $ 24.95
