BRUT RÉSERVE CHAMPAGNE AC
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CHARLES HEIDSIECK
Maturing very bright medium yellow colour. Very attractive, complex, toasty, ripe lemon meringue nose with some mineral-tinged, warm, buttery, brioche notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, mouthfilling, complex, intense, ripe lemon meringue flavours followed by a lingering, gently toasty, fairly high acid finish. Harmonious with excellent effervescence. Terrific not-to-be-missed value for anyone who enjoys the complex “gout Anglais” Champagne style. According to the back label this was Laid in cellars 2009 and disgorged 2016. Has 12% alcohol and 11 g/L residual sugar with lot number L160658_6089 on the back label. Last appeared in Vintages (***) on July 25, 2015 at $69.95 and was Recommended Best Buy. CSPC 36962

TASTING NOTE: This ripe Champagne is deliciously balanced between the rich white fruits and good acidity. Zingy texture gives it a crisp edge. Full, fruity and with the ability to age, it is ready to drink. Editors' Choice. Score - 92. (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, Dec. 1, 2016)
