TASTING NOTE: A fine example of the great value that Bordeaux offers, this is an excellent opportunity to enjoy a maturing wine. This one is from the heralded 2010 vintage, which is considered one of the best ever. From the outset, the vintage showed itself to be reminiscent of the powerful 2005 wines with a level of integration and balance that paralleled the ripe and opulent wines of 2009. This example is bone dry, with firm tannin and notes of herbs, chocolate, licorice and lots of black fruit with a mature tone beginning to emerge. Great structure and flavour. Enjoy with grilled lamb kebabs. (Vintages panel, Nov. 2016) Price $ 16.95
