Extremely deep intense purple colour. Refined, fairly intense, gently complex, mocha-chocolate-tinged, ripe plum-cherry puree nose with some some savoury notes. Dry, medium bodied, well structured, harmonious, slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry puree flavours with a lingering, crisp, sandalwood-tinged finish. This ready-to-drink. blend of Grenache, Carignan and Cinsault (no Syrah as incorrectly quoted in the Vintages Catalogue) has 14.5% alcohol. TASTING NOTE: Lastly, and one of the gems in the lineup, the 2013 Minervois Condamine Paulignan checks in as a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Cinsault that raised all in concrete tanks. Fabulously textured, medium to full- bodied, layered and seamless, this beauty offers up a rock star bouquet of black cherries, incense, lavender and hints of olive.
