TASTING NOTE: Boldly black at the core and intensely fresh on the nose, this wine almost reeks of youth. The nose offers aromas of underbrush and dried red cherry accompanied by muddled marasca cherry and spice cake exuberance on the palate. Medium-plus in body, the wine has integrated acidity and streamlined tannins. There's a pleasant chunkiness to it that lies somewhere between rustic and savvy, especially given its very clean fruit and lingering finish. Drink through 2017.
