CHÂTEAU LA FLEUR POURRET 2009 AC Saint-Émilion Grand Cru |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
|
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Cedary, spicy, baked ripe plum nose with some herbal garrigue notes. Very dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, intense, spicy, slightly baked, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, very cedary, high acid finish. Has 13.5% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with the same lot number LFP091 on the back label. A REPEAT of the 2009 (**/**+) released on August 6, 2016 at $38.95 that is still very much alive. |

TASTING NOTE: (translated from French) An excellent Saint-Emilion, which again shows how 2009 was a beautiful vintage in the region. Concentrated, tight, persistent, beautiful freshness. Already very good, although two or three years of cellaring could be envisaged. Score - 90 (Marc Chapleau, winealign.com, Jan. 26, 2016) |
