TASTING NOTE: The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Crossbarn (Sonoma County) opens with lovely aromatics. Precise and nuanced, the Sonoma Cabernet is a terrific example of the appellation. Gravel, smoke, cured meats and dark spices add further complexity throughout. The blend is approximately 88% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Merlot, with a dollop of Cabernet Franc. Drinking window: 2016-2020. Score - 89 (Antonio Galloni, vinous.com, Dec. 2016) |
