Very deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, fairly intense, ripe plum-cherry nose with some cedar-sandalwood-licorice notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, fairly complex, slightly spicy, mouthfilling, intense, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, sandalwood-tinged finish. This blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 15% Mourvedre has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. TONY ASPLER / 89-points - Cedary, herbal nose of blackberries; full-bodied, dry, licorice and blackberry flavours. Firmly structured, needs five years at least. |

Christmas spice, raspberry, crushed flowers and hints of mint all emerge from this elegant, yet ripe, textured and forward effort. Made from 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 15% Mourvedre that was aged in equal parts foudre and barrel, drink it anytime over the coming decade. Drink Date: 2014-2024. Score - 91 (Jeb Dunnuck, robertparker.com, Oct. 31, 2014) |
