Bright extremely pale straw colour. Sweaty, slightly spicy, peachy, very grassy-grapefruit nose. Fairly dry, light bodied, slightly spicy, ripe lemon-melon-apple flavours with a lingering, very crisp, gently grassy, very faintly minty, mineral-tinged, faintly toasty finish. Has 13% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. TONY ASPLER / 86.5-points - Sweaty, minerally, green plum and lemon bouquet; medium-bodied, dry, cut grassy and grapefruit zest flavours with some bitterness on the finish. TASTING NOTE: Featherstone has added a barrel fermented element to their usually fresh and lively tank made Sauvignon Blanc and in truth it has raised the wine up to another level. The nose is tropically tinged with hints of floral; the palate shows a little weight, due to that barrel, but has also kept that great acidity intact, something that has become the hallmark of Featherstone's Savvy B, as well as the usual grassy, grapefruit elements that recall SauvBlanc to the masses; plus we have some guava for good measure. This is a great improvement to this already perennial delicious wine. Score - 4 Stars (out of 5) (Michael Pinkus, michaelpinkuswinereview.com, May 2, 2017) Price $ 17.95
