CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2014 Columbia Valley, Washington |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
INTRINSIC |
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, spicy, slightly baked, juicy, plum-cherry puree nose with some cedary notes. Seems faintly off dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, very spicy, juicy, baked plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, cedary finish. Not quite my style of Cabernet Sauvignon - it seems ready-to-drink. Has 14.5% alcohol and apparently 40% of the wine was aged for 9 months on skins, 40% aged in stainless steel and the 20% balance in neutral oak. It is available at American Costco stores for only $19.95 US - see http://costcowineblog.com/2014-intrinsic-cabernet-sauvignon/
