CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2014 California
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LANDER-JENKINS
Deep purple red colour. Spicy, faintly dusty, plum-cherry nose with some peppery, licorice-vanilla notes. Sweetish (12 g/L residual sugar), medium bodied, tangy, raisiny-plum-cherry flavours with a somewhat cedary finish that unfortunately was reminiscent of insect-repellent DEET aromatics. Has 13% alcohol (vs. 13.5% in the Vintages website) with lot number L16231 on the lower part of the glass bottle. This THIRD REPEAT of the 2014 (*) with 83-points last appeared on January 7, 2017 at $19.95. CSPC 161398

TASTING NOTE: Sweet vanilla and rich stewed fruit on the nose and palate. Rich and balanced, this is a super star of a wine for any social gathering. Guaranteed to be a hit, this is a buy by the case wine. Great on its own, it's also great when paired with BBQ fare and hearty winter meals. Enjoy now with good company.
