NOBLE VINES THE ONE RED BLEND 2013 North Coast
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer NOBLE VINES
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry-black raspberry nose with some cedary mineral-tinged notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry puree flavours with a lingering, harmonious, fairly high acid finish. TONY ASPLER / 89-points / BEST BUY - Cedary, plum and leather on the nose; full-bodied, dry, richly extracted, fruity and firm with a spicy plum flavour and lively acidity. Showing nicely - this crowd-pleaser has 14% alcohol and 12 g/L residual sugar and is quite ready-to-drink. CSPC 460725

TASTING NOTE: Following an undergraduate degree that focused on geology, soils and chemistry, winemaker James Ewart completed a graduate diploma in viticulture from the University of Adelaide, in 1999. His in-depth understanding of soils has been instrumental in helping him match his vines to the perfect vineyard site. His 2013 One Black is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet and Zinfandel offers impressive dark berry fruit in a dense, concentrated style. Smooth and generous, with a broad mouthfeel. Enjoy with coffee-rubbed steaks. (VINTAGES panel, Aug. 2016) Price $ 23.95
